On May 4th, 2022; the Brazil Texas Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual traditional breakfast, BRATECC Offshore Breakfast "Brazil O&G and the Energy Transition"
.
The event took place during the week of OTC where many high-level guests from around the world visited Houston for the Offshore Technology Conference. As part of our event’s agenda, there was an ApexBrasil Featured Presentation presented by Carlos Padilla Msc., Investment officer, Apex-Brasil; Our Board of Directors' member and United Airlines' Country Manager of Brazil, Jacqueline Conrado, addressed United's current situation between the two nations and invited all the attendees to visit United's booth at the OTC. In addition to that, BRATECC’s President, Ulisses Sperandio, Honorary President, Amb. Maria Izabel Vieira, and Executive Director, Cid Silveira, gave some important messages such as an official statement sent by Amb. Nestor Forster from the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, DC; the event continued to our Panel section which counted with two panels. “Panel 1 : Energy Transition & Sustainability” moderated by Carla Lacerda, BRATECC Advisory Board member, integrated by Heloisa Borges Esteves, Director of Petroleum Studies, Natural Gas of Energy Research Company, Andre Lopes Araujo, Country Manager of Shell Brasil, David Gourlay, Vice President - Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil of TotalEnergies, Mauro Andrade, Business Development Officer of Prumo | Porto do Açu, and Benigna Leiss, Non-Resident Fellow, Baker Institute for Public Policy of Rice University. After that, “Panel 2: Brazil’s Role in the Global Energy Security Environment” moderated by Decio Oddone, BRATECC Advisory Board Chairperson and #Enauta CEO; integrated by Rodolfo Henrique de Saboia, Director-General of ANP – Brazilian Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency, Mariano Vela, Country Manager of Chevron Brasil, Fernanda Delgado, Corporate Executive Director of IBP - Brazilian Petroleum Institute, Wallace Pescarini, President Offshore Atlantic Basin of Schlumberger, and Eduardo Bordieri, Head of Strategy of Petrobras, who made a special presentation on the latest "Petrobras 5-year Strategic Plan".
