The U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act has existed for more than 40 years and has resulted in numerous corruption convictions and increased awareness of business ethics issues. In recent decades, other countries, including Brazil, have enacted similar legislation with similar results. Following the moderator´s brief description of US and Brazilian anticorruption laws, a distinguished panel will focus on the facts, issues, events and repercussions of the landmark Operation Car Wash (Lava Jato) case. They will also discuss current and possible future trends for enforcement of anti-corruption laws in Brazil.
